AC Factory Book.
We are pleased to announce that we are producing an official AC Cars factory book which will include unseen unpublished images of development photo’s of production cars from Thames Ditton up to date including Wartime AC Years both world wars- The ministry contracts , Taggs island works , Le Mans unseen scrutineering sheets, costings to get the cars racing . Build schedules of Shelby cars by chassis number calculations of costings profit - Carroll Shelby’s award per car. Some facts regarding individual cars anecdotes from Thames Ditton, Brooklands Frimley, Normandy and Malta staff including the Ruddspeed and Autokraft Years and an official register of Continuation AC produced cars past and present. Our historical links with Brooklands have now been enhanced with acquisition of offices within the former Brooklands Aero Club House & Control Tower. This fantastic Art Deco building was opened on May 28th 1932 and now stands as a unique reminder of the golden age of flying from the aerodrome at Brooklands.
The Club House was designed by Graham Dawbarn in an ultra modern concrete structure and contained a control tower, restaurant, lounges, showers and offices, one of which at some post war stage was occupied by one Bill Boddy Esq. We are honoured to follow in that tradition.
The building will serve as the main sales & administration centre for
the expanding business.
